- Account information — your email address and authentication credentials, managed through Clerk.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, filters applied, and interaction timestamps.
- Billing information — subscription status and payment history, managed through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
- Betting preferences — sports, teams, and bet types you interact with within the platform.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Create and manage your SCOUT account.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing cycles.
- Improve the quality, accuracy, and relevance of our AI analysis.
- Generate aggregated, anonymized analytics about platform usage.
- Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. Third-Party Services
SCOUT uses the following trusted third-party providers to operate the platform:
- Clerk — authentication and user account management. Your login credentials are handled exclusively by Clerk.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe under PCI DSS compliance.
- Anthropic — AI language model powering our narrative analysis and bet explanations. Query data sent to Anthropic is subject to their usage policies.
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery for the SCOUT frontend.
Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements with us. We choose providers with strong privacy practices.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your SCOUT account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for a longer period (for example, billing records for tax purposes).
Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for product analytics purposes.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
